Following its success in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, the company hopes that they will also be successful in their endeavor in South East Asia since more and more consumers are looking for premium gyms that can offer them facilities with the highest quality.

In Thailand alone, there will be 20 new clubs to be erected in addition to the three existing clubs already in the country. In Singapore, there will be around eight to ten new clubs opening in addition to the single outlet that is already in operation in the country. There might be other countries in the region where the company will invest new club, they are just searching for the expansion potential they are looking for.

According to the Chief Executive of Virgin Active, Matthew Bucknall, the success of the current clubs located in both Thailand and Singapore has prompted that company to invest more and they have decided that it is time to start with expanding. Last summer, the company Brait which is listed as a holidng company in Luxembourg and Johannesburg have bought Virgin Actives majority of stake in.

Bucknall also added that there is raid growth in terms of the health and fitness industry worldwide and many of the existing health clubs in Asia belongs to the first generation with outdated equipment and follows the fitness only format. The company is not just creating premium clubs in these places but will also be offering new formats to customers.

The expansion in Thailand and Singapore is only a start since they are also planning to penetrate Hong Kong which is believed to be the natural gateway to penetrate the Chinese market eventually. For those looking for excellent workers in Thailand, visit ScoopPeople.Asia.
