Michelin Guide Released In Thailand

One of the most effective methods for hotel promotion in Sukhumvit is to be included in the Michelin guide. The very first guide in the capital city of Thailand was recently published and currently perused y foodies who are looking to taste the best food in Bangkok.

According to Michael Ellis, the international director of Michelin Guide, the food scene of Bangkok can be described as intense, varied and diverse. He complemented the locals for using seasonings and spices that help them in creating one of the best cuisines in the world. The palate is taken into a new experience as it try everything from salty to bitter then sour and finally the umami.

Ellis added that the release will help foodies as it serves as a guide to find the best places to get the most delicious food in Thailand. It also enables the country to compete with other cuisines that have been featured on the Michelin guide before.

The guide contains a total of 98 food spots with three restaurants able to received two stars. One star, on the other hand, was awarded to 13 restaurants and Bib Gourmands award is given to 35 food outlets in the nation. The award is given to places that offer dishes that are below 1,000 baht. Ellis referred to them as great food that can be eaten with the best prices.

There are also Michelin Plate awards given to restaurants that have good food but are not ready to be awarded with a star yet. These places are worth watching in the next few years.

As for the three stars award, none was given in Bangkok and it is quite rare in other countries. If a three-star award is given to a restaurant then it will change the life of the chef forever.

The three restaurants that were given two stars are Mezzaluna, Le Normandie and Gaggan. The one-star award was given to 14 restaurants including SanehJaan, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Bolan, Paste, Chim by Siam Wisdom, Upstairs at Mikkeller, Elements, Sra Bua by KiinKiin, Ginza Sushi Ichi, Nahm, Savelberg, J’Aime by Jean-Michel Lorain and Suhring. Jay Fai is the only street food vendor awarded with one-star. Tourists and locals alike should find a hotel promotion in Sukhumvit and try out these places as soon as possible.
