Hero Motors To Supply Gearboxes To Ducati

Hero Motors is an Italian component manufacturer that provides high technology products at competitive prices to its existing and new customers. Hero Motors has successfully landed a business deal with Ducati to provide high quality transmission parts. Ducati is an Italian manufacturer of high end motorcycles that are globally known for high quality. The fact that Ducati has chosen Hero Motors to provide gearboxes is a notable feat for the manufacturer. This means recognition for its expertise and the high quality of its products.

According to Pankaj Munjal, CMD of Hero Group, the new business deal is a big leap for the company and they are very excited about the development. Aside from being able to forge a strong relationship with the global company Ducati, the Hero Group has affirmed it proficiency and expertise in specialized manufacturing.

The Hero Group has faced stiff competition from other European manufacturers for engineering the gears; however, the transmission division of Hero Motors has made use of the best quality systems to ensure high end products. In fact, the transmission division of Hero Group has tie-ups with leading motorcycle brands that include BMW, Harley Davidson and now Ducati. Almost 80% of Hero Group’s business is with the global leaders in the manufacture of high end motorcycles.

In order to ensure high quality standards, Hero Motors has invested Rs 150 crores to set up a world class infrastructure that is competitive with the world’s best. A similar investment will be funded to enhance its operations in the international market. As far as international markets are concerned, Hero Motors has already set up an office in Vienna, Austria. The office was already operational a year ago and is already in the process of establishing a reputation in Europe. However, final production of motorcycle parts will still be carried out in India to ensure a competitive price.

It is important to know the best sources of motorcycle parts when you need to replace a worn out part. OEM’s are made by the motorcycle manufacturer making them quite expensive. Buying Solo motorcycle parts is more cost effective even for those hard-to-find parts.
